송신규 SONG SHIN-KYU

1990년 춘천 출생, 춘천에서 거주하며 활동 송신규는 국립강릉원주대학교 서양화과를 졸업하고, 홍익대학교 일반대학원에서 회화과 석사과정을 졸업했다. 작가는 레지던시를 임시 거처로 삼아 대만, 원주, 순천, 양구, 제주 등의 지역에서 땅의 기억을 소재로 자신의 유년 시절 추억을 다룬다. 시간이 지남에 따라 이제는 흔적만 남아 있는 낡은 장소나 변화한 풍경 등에서 숨은 이야기를 발굴하고 이를 회화, 조각, 설치 등 다양한 매체로 선보인다. 주요 개인전으로 《그늘진 빛을 따라서》(문화공간역, 2025), 《인간과 고향》(박수근미술관 파빌리온, 2022) ,《자연으로 돌아가다》(토지문화관 박경리 작가의 집 전시실, 2020) 등이 있으며, 주요 그룹전으로는 《사공보다 많은 산》(강원작가트리엔날레, 2022), 《서유록》(제2회 강릉국제아트페스티벌, 2023), 《내일을 보는 오늘》(춘천문화예술회관 전시장, 2024), 《남겨진 자리들》(천안시립미술관, 2025) 등이 있다.

Lives and works in Chuncheon SONG SHIN-KYU graduated in the department of Fine Art at Gangneung Wonju National University and finished the master’s course in the department of Painting at Hongik University graduate school. By using the artist’s residencies as temporary homes, the artist deals with his childhood memories as the memory of the land in places such as Taiwan, Wonju,Suncheon,Yanggu and Jeju. As a result, hidden stories are excavated from changed landscapes that are left only with traces of time, and expressed through various media such as painting, sculpture, and installation. The artist’s major solo exhibitions include Along The Shaded Light ( Cultural Space-Yeok, 2025), Human and Homeland (Park Soo Keun Museum in Yanggu County, 2022), and Return to Nature (Toji Cultural Foundation, 2020), and his major group exhibitions include Hundreds of Boats, Thousands of Mountains (Gangwon Artists Triennale, 2022), Tale of a cityⅡ (Gangneung International Art Festival:GIAF2023), Today is the Window to Tomorrow (Chuncheon Culture & Art Center, 2024) and DIASPORA (Cheonan Museum of Art, 2025)
