박성완 Park Sungwan

박성완 작가는 소소한 일상과 주변 풍경을 인상파적 감수성으로 재해석하여 화폭에 담는 회화 작업을 이어오고 있다. 그는 회화 기법의 과시보다 ‘우리의 이야기’를 전달하는 데 중점을 두며, 삶 속에서 마주한 경험과 감정, 사회적 공감을 작품으로 풀어낸다. 작가는 "아직은 일상을 겨우 관할하는 시야에 머물러 있지만, 더 많은 삶의 층위와 생각들을 화폭에 담고 싶다"고 말한다. 전남대학교 미술학과를 졸업하고 동 대학에서 서양화를 전공한 그는 국내외 개인전과 말레이시아 레지던시 등 다양한 활동을 통해 작품 세계를 넓혀왔다. 반복되는 일상의 아름다움, 흔한 감정의 공감대 속에서 시각언어로 관객과 소통하는 그의 작품은 조용하지만 진한 울림을 전한다.

Part Sungwan is a painter who reinterprets ordinary daily life and familiar surroundings through a lens inspired by impressionist techniques. Rather than focusing on technical display, his work emphasizes storytelling—drawing from personal moments, emotional memory, and social empathy. He explores the visual potential of everyday life, aiming to capture a shared emotional resonance that invites viewers to reflect on their own experiences. A graduate of Chonnam National University’s Department of Fine Arts, where he also completed a master’s course in Western painting, Part has exhibited extensively both in Korea and abroad—including solo exhibitions in Malaysia and Korea, and participation in international residencies. His layered and quietly expressive paintings use visual language to convey the subtle beauty found in repetition, routine, and the overlooked details of life.
